You’re invited to a screening of “Mi tia Gilma” (“My Aunt Gilma”), writer-director Alexandra Henao’s drama about Isabel, a 13-year-old girl who cares for her aunt Gilma, who was hospitalized in Caracas after being beaten by her partner.
Amidst the chaos that surrounds them, Isabel will do anything to save her aunt and fulfill a promise.
The film, starring Maryale Benites and Diana Peñalve and produced by Beto Benites, Constanza Profeta and Silvia Godinho, will screen at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15. The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles.
Director Alexandra Henao will participate in a Q&A with the audience following the screening.
