“Johnny Was Good” tells the true story of Johnny Mattress, who as a young sports star had his tangible dream of becoming a professional athlete dashed due to poverty, death and even some of his own poor decision making. However, the story doesn’t end there – an unexpected source brings him out of the darkness & provides life with new purpose.
This documentary is directed by and is the brainchild of Jason Jackson, the Miami HEAT’s play-by-play radio announcer and television host. Jason has worked for the Miami HEAT for the past 20 years. He has had a front row seat to athletes and how they handle challenges and success.
Jackson will attend the screening and participate in a moderated Q&A.
Admission is FREE and no ticket required.
