Best Feature Documentary Film award at the 17th Greek Iris Awards (presented by the Hellenic Film Academy)
The film follows the director as he returns to his empty, bare childhood apartment in Athens a year after his mother’s death to settle a troubled inheritance. As he navigates the empty spaces, fragments of his family’s past resurface. The personal narrative shifts into a historical exploration when he uncovers evidence of his biological father’s deep involvement as a military policeman during the Greek Junta (the Regime of the Colonels, 1967–1974). The documentary confronts the heavy silence of the past, dealing with themes of collective trauma, identity, and personal accountability.
